Shaping Israel’s Next Generation
Ma’agalim empowers at-risk youth across Israel through mentorship, leadership, identity, and meaningful service.
“Ma’agalim is a national educational organization empowering youth from Israel’s social and geographic periphery through mentorship, leadership development, and life-changing opportunities. Together, we help young people realize their potential, overcome obstacles, and build brighter futures.”
AFM Israel’s Events
American Friends of Ma’agalim supports Ma’agalim, a national Israeli non-profit mentorship network guiding at-risk 16- and 17-year-olds from homes marked by neglect, poverty, and violence. Through one-on-one mentoring, Ma’agalim helps them rebuild trust, hope, and direction – empowering them to become responsible citizens who contribute to Israeli society through national and community service. Ma’agalim gives Israel’s forgotten teens a future.
“Everyone who comes out of Ma’agalim is a more moral, Zionist, and Jewish individual. Ma’agalim’s dedication to Israel’s socio-economic periphery — to thousands of students guided by mentors who genuinely care — is nothing short of amazing.”
Benjamin Netanyahu
Prime Minister of Israel
“It is a clear-cut fact that an organization like Ma’agalim is crucial for the State of Israel. The young men and women who come from the toughest backgrounds show an unparalleled determination to do good and make a difference.”
Tamir Pardo
Director of Mossad
